Painter
This individual is responsible for painting the interior and exterior of buildings and facilities; hanging wall paper; repairing and replacing wall vinyl; and finishing surfaces. A qualified candidate will be able to work independently, be flexible, and have initiative to complete assigned job tasks in timely manner.
Compensation: $19.00-$24.53/hour, dependent upon experience
Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Paint interior and exterior surfaces by reading work orders, preparing surfaces, estimating materials, and applying base and finish coats using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Install, hang, and repair wall vinyl and wallpaper, including surface preparation, accurate material estimation, and safe use of adhesives and tools.
Operate and maintain a variety of painting and maintenance equipment, including paint sprayers, wall vinyl machines, tile cutting machines, ladders, drywall tools, and related supplies.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, residents, and other personnel to receive and complete job-related tasks efficiently.
Assist maintenance staff with snow and ice removal during emergencies and perform light maintenance duties as needed.
- Previous painting experience.
- Previous drywall finishing experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families.
- Demonstrates high level of customer service skills.
- Demonstrates independent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Accepts additional job responsibilities and schedule changes as they arise.
- Works well independently.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and schedules.
