Human Resources Generalist

Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community is currently seeking an experienced and people-focused HR professional to join our team as an Human Resources Generalist.

The Human Resources Generalist plays an essential role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our HR department and assisting our team members throughout their employment experience. This full-time position partners closely with staff and leadership while helping coordinate various HR functions, including benefits administration, employee support, and general HR processes.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm (On-site)

Compensation: $21.00/hour - $26.45/hour, dependent upon experience

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Coordinate employee benefits administration, including responding to team member questions and assisting with FMLA and leave processes.
  • Partner with the Director of Human Resources to manage workers’ compensation claims, incident follow-up, and return-to-work accommodations.
  • Support daily Human Resources operations by assisting employees while helping maintain personnel files and HR records in compliance with employment regulations.
  • Assist with onboarding, pre-employment processes, orientation, and the coordination of employee training and development programs.
  • Help plan and support employee engagement initiatives, including recognition events, safety programs, and other staff activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality, follow organizational policies and compliance standards, and perform additional HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous HR experience required, including knowledge of benefits administration, FMLA, workers’ compensation, and employee leave processes.
  • Proficiency in ADP, Microsoft Office Suite, and other HR-related systems and software.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills with the ability to effectively support employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Working knowledge of state, federal, and local employment laws and HR compliance practices.
